Long Story Short - The Belfast Opera

Rehearsals are under-way for Belfast Buildings Trust’s "Long Story Short - The Belfast Opera", at the partially regenerated Carlisle Memorial Church, North Belfast. Composed by award-winning musician, Neil Martin, with a libretto by east Belfast writer Glenn Patterson, "Long Story Short – The Belfast Opera", 18 – 19 June, is a journey through the history of Belfast’s industrial past to reveal a city that is today emerging with purpose and confidence. A Creative Belfast project funded by Belfast City Council and Arts Council of Northern Ireland, it features an internationally renowned professional cast and a 120 strong community chorus and orchestra.

Internationally recognised opera singer and lead cast member Bruno Caparoni is joined by cast members Rebecca Rodgers, soprano and Bríd Ní Ghruagáin, mezzo-soprano as they rehearse at Carlisle Memorial Church.
